“The Harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Luke 10:2
3.28 billion people within the 10/40 window live in darkness without knowing it.
3.28 billion people within the 10/40 window were created to live in the light, yet cannot know it unless someone tells them.
3.28 billion people is a pretty plentiful harvest, yet only 3% of worldwide missionaries work among the most unreached, and less than 2% of missions donations go to the 10/40 window, despite the exponential amount of people with no access to the Gospel and high levels of persecution for churches in that region.
The 10/40 window is a geographical region including North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia with extremely little access (if any access) to the gospel due to political, social, and economic suppression.
Home to the world’s most un-evangelized people groups, the majority of the 10/40 window is blinded from the light of Jesus by false gods (2 Corinthians 4:4). The prominent religions in the 10/40 window include Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Atheism—all of which keep these people in chains of sin and hopelessness.
Because these false gods exist deeply within the various cultures of the 10/40 window and are nearly inseparable from daily life, many people have never heard the name of Jesus and do not know that they live in darkness and even need the light. Yet, Jesus yearns to lavish the light of His freedom and grace upon these lost people, which is why He commands us to pray that the Father would raise up laborers to show those living in darkness that they can experience true freedom through the light of the Gospel.
The heart and soul of Collection 002 includes 3 pillars:
- raise awareness for the need for global missions.
- encourage prayer for those ushering the light into spiritual darkness,
- financially support missions in the 10/40 window—specifically in the Arab world.
During this collection, we are partnering with a church-planter in Northern Africa to fund their work in this region by donating 50% of profits. While we cannot name them online for security reasons, when you place an order, we will send you a prayer card with more info on how you can pray for and support them as they bring light to the darkness of the Arab world.
We pray that these vintage, up-cycled pieces encourage you to pray for light to infiltrate the darkness of the 10/40 window and for God to raise up laborers to bring the hope of Christ to the most hopeless places on earth.
